Human Garbage - short film

This is my first movie as a writer and director. The film depicts the similarity between garbage and people who are born and die on the streets, away from the society. It's mostly a single character movie, the camera plays the victims which the protagonist comes across in his daily life and ultimately he dies like a stray dog on the streets for whom no body cares, the cycle is a continuous process in the lives of many who live a life of garbage. I chose black and white tone because i felt that it enhances the mood and soul of the film.

Turtles Can Fly, this 2004 movie is written and directed by Kurdish Iranian Bahman Ghobadi, it is the first film which was made in Iraq after the fall of Saddam Hussien.

The film is set around a refugee camp on the Iraq - Turkey border. It starts with a character called satellite, a boy who is a leader of few children in the camp and is the only person who can install satellite dishes for the people to get the news about the inevitable attack by Americans on Iraq on their televisions. The film moves ahead with slow pace showing the lives of people around the camp and how the boy is chased by people to install dishes for their television. It starts looking like a documentary until a girl is spotted by the boy in the crowd; she is an orphan who is accompanied with his armless brother and a blind little boy. The focus now shifts on the boy and the girl, the girl seems mysterious as she doesn't talk much and tries to avoid the boy (satellite) whenever he tries to talk to her, it seemed a love story would develop among the two as the film moved along, showing the activities of the boy mostly, being the leader of group of children, he uses them to clean up mines from fields which are scattered everywhere around them, unexploded mines are traded also. It was shocking to see how the little children were picking up unexploded mines with their mouth. The girl doesn't like the little blind child which she and her brother is taking care of, she keeps telling her brother to abandon the child and move away from there, later it is revealed through flashing shots of flashback where the girl was raped by people. She is the mother of that boy. She eventually drowns the little boy and kills herself. After that the film doesn't move anywhere in the story, it ends with American soldiers everywhere and satellite is sad and lost in the chaos.

The film has nothing new in terms of content and storytelling. I am still wondering the relation between the title of the film and the content. It seemed dragging; the length is too much for a story like this to be told through cinema. The actors have performed excellently, the girl expressed pain and misery through her face and eyes, and she looked very intense and matured despite her age which was required for that kind of role. Technically, the film is shot well. The only relief moments in the film were the funny little boy in the group of satellite's friends. He was outstanding with his acting and dialogues.

Prostitution has been the oldest profession in the world. It's a huge market worldwide, in India every city has their own red light area which are famous for sex trade. Till few years back in India, most men use to frequent these specific red light areas to get sexual service from women, it was more private and secretive thing to do. As a result, the image of women also changed, they started coming out of homes and work, earn money, make their career, stand equal to man in every respect just like foreign. With this change, the game of flesh trade has also changed completely now. Gone are the days when men used to visit red light areas to enjoy sex with women of different size and color. A new era has began in sex trade, the traditional sex workers are out of business now, they get less visitors and the class of visiting men has also got limited to poor men, generally labour class men who look for cheap women as they cannot afford pricey women who used to make huge money when rich men came to them for sex. They are facing new monster, educated sophisticated liberal women have entered their turf and they are no match to them. The new stylish woman has toppled their monopoly, in the name of escort service and massage parlor this sex trade is flourishing like any other sector in India with a turnover in millions. The greed of easy money and liberal thoughts like foreign culture have blinded women who have turned to this profession without any guilt or pressure. They are no longer helpless women who are dragged or sold into this trade, they are coming in their own free will, no one is controlling them, they are their own masters and choose their clients. They are the new 'exclusive' women who commands a high price to provide sexual services to elite upper class clients. There is no specific market or red light area to find them, they are easily accessible and can be contacted by phone, some are even using the Internet to get clients worldwide. Every thing has become very easy and smooth now, they don't feel guilty at all, their view point has changed, they see it as renting their body and getting paid in return. The definition of morality has changed now, they see it as any other profession and find nothing wrong in it, they are enjoying the elite pleasures they get from their clients, travel abroad, have fun at places they never could have imagined, enjoying the services of best hotels, living a luxury life with all the possible materialistic pleasures money can buy.

Knowing that Indians are crazy for foreign women, many agencies are importing foreign women from countries like Russia. These foreign women from these countries find it lucrative as they don't have good employment there and happily enter this trade. Lot of foreign women are working in India through elite escort services where they are making huge money by providing sexual services to foreign crazy Indian men. It's very easy for these women to come to India on tourist visa and work for few months and return with lots of money to come again after sometime. India has become global in flesh trade.

Every child needs education

Education is very important for children to lead a normal life with dignity when they grow up in society.There are millions of children leading a life deprived of proper education due to various reasons in India and around the world. I can understand a child's pain when one finds him/herself in a situation where he/she is unable to go to school and learn things, get educated like other privileged children.I myself couldn't learn things which I wanted and still want to due to lack of money for which I am still struggling.Education is the only way to empower children to walk with pride and honor within the mainstream social zone, its the only way to pull them from the misery of poverty and social boycott, education is the only tool with which they can understand the right and wrong, education is the only way which will stop them to work like slaves, beg on streets and stray in life, it's the only way which will make them good human beings and respect life.Every child is born with talent which can blossom only if they are provided a chance to educate themselves and choose their path for future.Every child is the future of his/her country and if the country is not giving attention to its young generation then it won't have a good future.Just a section of society cannot take its country ahead in the path of development and prosperity, the growth will come only with an inclusive approach where every child needs to be educated.

3 idiots - review

Though i was not keen on watching this movie at all as i know most of Bollywood films are crap, but i got carried away by all the hoopla about the film being biggest grosser ever in Bollywood and people all around me were blabbering non stop, so i gathered some patience and watched it just to see what's all the frenzy about it.

Well, as expected i turned out to be an idiot of the highest order to have watched it.The film had nothing new to offer, it looked a recycled version of the Munnabhai series, this time it was Amir Khan replacing Sanjay Dutt.Even the title '3 idiots' sounded wrong after watching it, It should have been 'idiot no.1' because it was always Amir Khan who kept solving problems miraculously, he was shown as the jack of all and master of all kind of a man who is able to do anything.It looked like all the situations or problems were created solely for Amir Khan who solved them with ease all through the film, that's all was there in the film.The other two idiots had nothing much to do but to create problems to be solved by Amir Khan, even Kareena was reduced to an extra with her sister and father who looked like bunch of clowns among the idiots.

It's very disappointing to see a film like this from the producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra whom i respected a lot as a film maker but it seems he has forgotten his talent and is now focusing in money making projects only.The director, Rajkumar Hirani has no other better ideas beyond the Munnabhai films, it seems he is a fluke.Amir Khan looked disgustingly young, very artifcial and plastic.Everything is so very pathetically melodramtic about the film, it really is a idiot film, nothing more than that.

The clock is ticking, no, not just ticking, the ticks are becoming louder day by day.It feels scary, scary to think what have we(people) done to this planet called earth where we have been living for centuries. We have not used it, we have raped it and are still doing so shamelessly. The paradise has become a hell now.Hopefully people my age would vaporise by the time it becomes more worse to live, to breath, to breed on this planet which looks inevitable, no matter how hard the scientists or people who are supposed to control the damage for which we all are responsible.I wonder what would be left there for the generations of people to come.I wonder how the small kids, who are unaware of the ever growing problems awaiting them, would feel when they grow up and start understanding the world and people around them.They are surely going to blame us for cheating on them, for robbing their right to live in a healthy peaceful world, for subjecting them to a life in hell for no fault of theirs.

With so much of global warming due to pollution generated by us, destruction of nature leading to extinction of other species which are equally important as we consider ourselves, melting glaciers leading to increase in sea levels which will lead to disappearance of cities/islands under the sea water. Adding to all that is the evil called terrorism in the name of everything affecting all of us directly or indirectly.All the nations are desperately empowering themselves with nuclear power which is going to make things worse more than good.

No one is there to stop us from abusing the earth randomly.We deserve to be punished by the mother nature for making it a hell of a planet.I can feel her anger when natural calamities happen, and they are growing , we should be ready to face the music.

Scientists are desperately looking for another planet which we can abuse when it becomes a hell to live on earth.I hope they find it soon ..well ..not for me ..i can't afford to buy a life on other planet... only rich clowns would be able to do so i guess if ever that's going to happen...if we all don't get vaporised like the magnificent Dinosaurs.

Been hearing this for long time, money can't buy love.I like to believe in this theory but things around me contradicts with the same.Everything is weighed in terms of money.

Parents need money to raise their kids.They give special focus on their education,because education is the only way for anyone to get a good employment through which they can earn money and lead a normal life within the society.Education doesn't come free, it requires a lot of money for higher education, banks only give loans to people who are in a position to repay, so its hard for not so rich people to see their kids studying in higher level and make a good career.They are not bothered what the education will make their kid on personal level, the sole purpose of getting them educated is to see them making money when they start working as adults.They pressurise them to study only those subjects that are going to give them good money making career, not something they necessarily would like to study.Most people are trapped in a work or career which they may not have ideally wanted to but they were not given any other choice.They end up in jobs where they keep making money and exist and pass on the same legacy to their next generation.

No one can be blamed for this never ending race for making money.This is how the society/world works.Parents can't afford to see their kids roaming around the streets for employment.They will feel like losers when they will see other kids doing good in life.Their dreams will shatter if their kids are not among the mainstream crowd of kids who are flashing new cars, gadgets, big houses, going abroad, getting a well settled match.Kid's life becomes hell as he/she realises the situation.They are ostracised, left out of society without money.They won't have any friends or social life, they will feel worthless and unwanted.Sometimes kids are unable to cope up with the pressure created by their parents and the people around them, expecting them to perform beyond their capacity, not concerned what they would really like to do in life, blinded with the color of money, and end their lives.But that doesn't change the rules, they just can't escape the situation, they have to continue going through the process whether they like it or not and make money,that's all.There is no other option for anyone.Without money a person is good for nothing, not even a human.

So start making money before its too late.Only one thing will be loyal to you all your life and that's money.It will give the freedom and power to do things which one had desired in life.It gives a person a life with dignity and respect and acceptance in society.

Fair skin fascination among indians

Been going through the matrimonial pages in print regularly.No i am not looking for a bride, i don't find myself suitable for the marriage market. Just to prove myself wrong that people prefer only fair skinned partners but till now i have hardly come across an ad where the girl is not one with fair skin.Every ad in 'grooms wanted' has girls with fair skins and every ad in 'brides wanted' is looking for a fair skinned girl.Girls must be mentioning they are fair just to attract responses, even if they are not really fair, from the 'suitable boy' with high education and highly placed in his respective career and of course he should be a perfect blend of traditional values with a very modern outlook.I still fail to understand what all that means.Skin color in India is a huge issue, specially for women.Dark skinned girls are doomed in general.Recently,a girl decided to end her pathetic life for simple reason, she was dark skinned, her parents were unable to find a suitable groom.She was fed up being rejected just for her skin color repeatedly.

God knows how many girls died or got divorced and this unfortunately will continue to happen, and this is not limited to people with low education level or illiterate people, it is present in every class of society, the so called liberal and educated people from high or middle class society are apprehensive to the idea of their kids, who generally go overseas to get more trained to make more money, tying the knot with someone colored, they won't have any problems if their partner is white even if he/she is a trash, even men in India are now frequenting the beauty shops like women to get their skin fairer.The so called king of Bollywood is endorsing a fair cream for men.Another ad of a fairness cream shows a dark skinned doomed girl getting back her life and acceptance to work only after she gets the cream which makes her fair skinned girl in few days.No one is taking notice of the ads which are promoting color discrimination in the name of advertisements to sell their products.People seem to have accepted it, its everywhere.

Most actors in films are fair, actors specially women desiring to be a star, do not get any chance despite being talented just because she is not fair complexioned.Not just films, people in every other sector prefer having fair skinned women in their organisations.

The film is inspired by actual events of bombing at Khobar housing complex in 1996 and at the Riyadh compound in 2003 in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The plot of the film is about the bombing of a foregin-workers facility in Saudi Arabia.An FBI agent, Francis Manner (Kyle Chandler) who is in the midst of this ruthless attack informs his colleague Special Agent Ronald Fleury (Jamie Foxx) back in USA.Manner is also killed soon in the deadly attacks.

Fleury somehow manages to land in Saudi Arabia along with his team consisting of Special Agent Janet Mayes (Jennifer Garner), Leavitt (Jason Bateman) and Special Agent Grant Sykes (Chris Cooper) to investigate the bombings which killed their colleague Manner. Fleury meets Colonel Faris al-Ghazi (Ashraf Barhom), the commander of Saudi State Police Force in Saudi who is willing to help them investigate the brutal attacks.People back in USA and in Saudi Arabia try to make them stop investigating the attacks but Fleury manages to convince the Prince to let them continue the investigation but they are ordered to go back home after they attack a hideout of terrorists where they find large cache of weapons along with several terrorists dead in the combat.They are attacked on their way to airport and one of their team member is captured and taken away.Fleury along with others chase them and finally he is able to rescue his colleague from them and kill one of main accused in the bombings.

The film is very fast paced with realistic action sequences designed and executed very well with hand held camera movements and the sepia toned images which gives the film a very raw look.The plot is very thin but there are many moments in the film which keeps the audience engaged with the film specially the action scenes which are very hard hitting and dramatic to watch.The actors have performed very well specially Jamie Foxx and Ashraf Barhom, they showed good chemistry on screen as a team.

The highlight scene of the film was the one when Fleury and Faris are about to enter the door of the room where the main accused is hiding.Fleury asks Faris which side allah is, before entering the room and Faris says they are going to find it out, and they bang open the door.This line was execellently written and made me think, it was hard hitting and had a lot of depth and meaning in it.

Education doesn't make us a good human being

Generally the perception and fact had been that people from a particular social background have been lured to enter the world of violent extremism movement around the globe.Most of them coming from poor family with low or no level of education.Knowing the weakness of such people, the active groups of terrorists target them for recruitment in their tribe, they succeed in attracting such people who are desperate and struggling in the misery of poverty.Their burning belly and heart blind them to see right and wrong.They just want happiness for their family and themselves,and money can only buy happiness, ruining their future if any to make a good present.With hardly any level of education they are unable to assess the seriousness of their involvement in such acts, their empty brains are easily filled with hatred for other communities and religion in the name of their god and fake promises of a bright future for them and their coming generation which they wont live to witness if it were to happen, which is very unlikely.

But the facts changed the day the airplanes hit the world trade centre in America, the worlds most powerful country.One of the biggest and most lethal attack carried out by a terrorist outfit, which emerged as most dangerous and well organised group headed by Osama Bin Laden who is still invisible to the world.The attack was not just any random regular attacks which keep occurring almost everyday in different parts of the world.It required a lot of planning with expertise, a team of highly skilled professionals worked on it for years.Osama himself is not from any poor family or uneducated fellow, on the contrary, he is from a wealthy family and is highly educated with engineering background.His close associates and other people in his group are also well educated.It was appalling to know the background of people involved in such gruesome attack on humanity which killed thousands of innocent people.

According to research, most of the members of terrorist groups are highly educated with majority of them being engineers.Engineers are preferred and sought by these groups because they have the required expertise to plan and execute the desired attacks which is not feasible with a team of normal educated people without any technical skills.Engineers play a vital role in development of any country, they are suppose to create not destroy, but sadly, some of them are getting distracted and tempted to violent extremism, joining the movement of radicalism and ignorantly trying to force their own ideology through violence and mass destruction.In recent past, some doctors were also found to be involved in a bombing.

It seems mere education does not make a person more human, it does not build the character of a person.It only fills up the brain and not form it.Only a better formed mind can make one more tolerant, considerate who would look forward to a world with people from all communities/race/religion living in peace and harmony rather than following an ideology that is steeped with its own changeless laws which promotes hatred and violence among people.

The director of this 2001 released thriller has given a very engaging and entertaining movie which has a backdrop of war.

The story revolves around the one of the two pilots (Stackhouse and Burnett), who are sent to take pictures of some suspicious target somewhere in Bosnia.While they are busy with their assignment, their planes are targetted and shot down by Serbian forces.Both of them manage to eject themselves and land on ground safely but soon the forces track their location.Burnett hides from them but Stackhouse is captured and executed.Burnett has no option but to run away from there to save himself from being killed like his partner Stackhouse.He explains the situation to his boss Leslie over radio and ask him to send a rescue team as soon as possible as he knows the forces are chasing him.After this, the film depicts his struggle to keep himself safe and alive amidst war till the rescue team arrives at the extraction point.

Technically, the film is very well made with excellent camera work.The struggle of Burnett all through the film has been filmed very well.The situations designed were very thrilling and dramatic.The highlight of the film was the scene where Burnett, while running from the forces in order to save himself from being captured and killed, hides himself under the rotten corpses in a mass grave.And secondly, when Burnett runs through a path exploding with landmines on both sides.It was shot excellently. The climax was awesome.

All the actors in the film have done a very good job.The music and cinematography enhances the mood of the film.

katrina kaif

Katrina kaif is the new rage in bollywood.Her tryst with glamour world started at the age of 14 when she started modelling in Hawaii and continued with it in London where she was noticed by film maker Kaizad Gustad who cast her in his film called 'Boom' in 2003 which also had Amitabh Bachchan among the other actors in the film.The film bombed at the box office miserably.After that she moved to India and got various modelling assignments to promote leading brands and worked in various south Indian films. Don vs Don

In 1978, Chandra Barot made a film titled 'Don' which was written by the duo Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar.Amitabh Bachchan played the lead role of Don/Vijay.

The plot revolved around an underworld don who is killed while running around from police.The police officer in whose car don died while trying to escape comes up with a plan to keep his death a secret and send another guy, a look-alike of Don named Vijay also played by Amitabh, in his gang as his mole in order to wipe out the gang. He locates Vijay from the report filed at his station which had Vijay's detail and two kids whom Vijay had found on the streets for which he came to report at police station some time back. The two kids named dipu and munni were abandoned on the streets when their father Jasjit aka JJ, played by Pran, was arrested by police while trying to pull a job assigned to him by the Don's gang. The Police Officer convinces Vijay about his plan who is not willing initially but agrees to work for him when the officer offers him good education and life for the kids he was looking after. Vijay, an uneducated simple man, goes through a training session to adopt Don's way of life and is sent back to the gang as Don but appearing to have difficulty in remembering everything due to accident while running away from police.The members accept him but are a bit suspicious until one day he announces that he has recalled everything when he gets hold of the secret diary which had all the information about Don and his associates which he hands over to the Police Officer without anyone's knowledge. Vijay meets Roma, played by Zeenat Aman, who joined Don's gang in order to avenge her brother's death by killing Don. She comes to know that Vijay is not the real Don and starts helping Vijay in his mission and eventually they get involved romantically also.Vijay's plan is ruined and he is trapped in a web when one day the Officer dies in a crossfire as he was the only person who knew the true identity of Vijay. Vijay is arrested as Don and is unable to prove anything about his identity and the officer's plan. He manages to run away from the police to prove his true identity. Vijay struggles to prove his innocence as both police and the gang is after him now but eventually he manages to come clean with the help of Roma and Jasjit aka JJ who had the diary which he stole from the Officer's place after coming out of jail.

The Film is a cult classic with a gripping story, excellent back ground music and slick camera work.Amitabh Bachchan as always simply gave a magnificent performance as The Don.He gave Don the required dignity, style and the ruthless attitude.Amitabh with his intense acting caliber made the character of Don very realistic and yet larger than life. Its was hard to believe when he came back in film as Vijay, a complete opposite character from that of Don. His body language and dialogue delivery was completely different in both characters which is a delight to watch.

In 2006, Farhan AKhtar, son of Javed Akhtar who had co written the original Don, decided to remake the film as 'Don - The Chase Begins Again'.

The plot of the film was almost the same except for a few changes. This time Vijay is unable to get to the gang as the real don happens to hear the officer's plan while he is explaining it to Vijay at the hospital. The director kept the audience in suspense all through the film which he only revealed in the end that it was the don and not Vijay who had killed him at the hospital.

This new version of the cult classic is technically very stylish with excellent cinematography and back ground music mostly shot in Malaysia.Like every other bollywood (indian film industry), Farhan took his version of Don to Malaysia in order to give his film an international (read Hollywood) look. Every film maker is trying hard to make films which are at par with Hollywood at least in look if not in content, performance and selection of actors as required in the subject of a film.The twist incorporated by the director where the real Don hears the officer’s plan who is briefing Vijay outside the room and then killing Vijay there, looked very lame and stupid. It looked more of an escape from a tough situation where the director falls short of logical and thrilling idea on how to bring in the twist he desried.Though the action sequences looked good they lacked the required thrill except for the background score which tried to save the scenes. Selecting some one like Shah Rukh Khan as Don was another mistake. Shah Rukh Khan is a total miscast for a role which required lot of style and dignity, he reduced the image of larger than life Don to a petty cheap crook with his shallow loud acting. There was hardly any difference between The Don and Vijay when Shah Rukh Khan played the roles in this new version of Don.

INJU is a thriller revolving around a french crime fiction writer Fayard who travels to Kyoto, Japan to promote his latest novel and also desires to meet the Japanese writer named Shundei Oe, who also is famous for his fiction crime novels which always have the negative forces on the winning side..He is a bit surprised to get a call from shundei Oe when he is in a television studio for a show threatening him to leave japan or face consequences.Fayard doesn't take it seriously thinking it as a marketing gimmick by his publisher Ken Honda , who tells him that Shundei Oe has never done any interviews and have not allowed to be photographed.He takes Fayard out to visit a geiko house where Fayard meets a mysterious geiko named Taomo. He is attracted towards her beauty and intrigued to see a scar on her back while she was performing.Fayard is further dragged into the mystery when he meets Taomo again.She tells him about a letter she got which she says is from her ex lover Hichiro Irata.He wonders why she is telling him about Hichiro as he doesn't find any connection but when she reveals that Hichiro is Shundei Oe, he is shocked.Taomo further tells him that Hichiro is threatening her and wants her back in his life.She is very scared as she recalls his violent behavior when she rejected his marriage proposal several years back after which he disappeared, but now he is back.She ask Fayard to help her.Blinded by his desire for Taomo, he agrees to help her and starts looking for clues to trace the mysterious entity called Shundei Oe.Taomo is pregnant with her lover who is a wealthy businessman named Mogi.One day his friend, Honda is found dead.His death makes Fayard very worried for himself and Taomo.The mystery deepens and Fayard is lost and confused and soon ends up in jail for the murder of Mogi at his residence where he finds Taomo tied up and getting whipped by Mogi.He thinks he saved his innocent girl friend who was trapped but is shocked when one day he is visited by a man who tells him that there was no Hichiro Irata and no one was stalking his girl friend Taomo.In fact she herself is the mysterious Shundei Oe and she framed him to get rid of the competition as he was becoming famous, she felt threatened by him.

The film has a gripping screenplay which keeps the audience guessing all the time as to who could be the mysterious Shondei Oe.Not for a moment the suspicion goes towards the girl.Technically the film is well shot and the actors have performed well which helped to create a dark mood of the thriller.

Bollywood, the Indian film industry hub which entertains a population of over a billion in India and is growing its market overseas also gradually.The movie making in India has changed drastically over the last decade.The budgets have skyrocketed with the growing market specially overseas, producers have started investing huge amounts to make the films globally acceptable with wider range of audience at least technically if not in content.As far as content of the films are concerned, the quality has drastically dropped as most of the films are cheap copies of Hollywood films.This again shows how Indians are crazy for everything foreign.Most big budget movies are made keeping in mind the overseas audience rather than Indian audience as the revenues are far higher there compared to India.Every film maker, small or big, is trying and making films based in some foreign location except India.Every thing is huge, larger than life,except the content.Some new generation of film makers have cropped up like Sanjay Gadhvi who directed the blockbuster 'Dhoom' and another box office dud 'Kidnap', Sanjay Gupta who has made very stylish films like 'Aatish', 'Kaante' and several others.Anubhav Sinha made 'Dus', Soham Shah made 'luck', Apurva Lakhia made 'Ek Ajnabi' and Anthony D'souza is ready with his big budget film 'Blue'.All these film makers and others have a huge hangover of Hollywood films and are racing with each other to be ahead in being able to make most stylised films in India which can be considered at par with Hollywood films and are copying stories, scenes, situations and even the whole film from mostly Hollywood.Hollywood is their main source of getting something to make a film about and every one is trying to grab the opportunity first.Surprisingly, the dancers in the background in most films now are foreign women, the Indian women dancers in the background seem to have disappeared.They don't care whether its justified or not in the script of the film, they just want to give the film a look of Hollywood movie whatever it takes.It seems they are not making any film in its true sense, they are just making a circus where they are trying to incorporate every possible gimmicks or tricks or items to make people fool in the name of entertainment and laugh all the way to their respective banks.

Recent attacks on Indian students in Australia were appalling and disappointing because i hardly remember hearing things like that occurring there. But it seems the virus of racism is spreading almost everywhere gradually and gaining prominence.The Australian authorities are maintaining that those atrocities were not at all racist in nature but the fact cannot be overlooked as they desire the world,specially India, to see it as just an aberration.The continued attacks on Indians over several days are too much to be termed as aberration.It shows the desperation and fear on the faces of people and countries who are responsible for such cowardly attacks on Indians.They seem to be jealous and feel threatened by the perpetual and gradual emergence of Indians as superiors and competitive beings in every field which is understandable, but instead of expressing their anger they should appreciate their efforts and learn to co-exist and develop a level of tolerance for others.No one can or have the right to suppress anyone just to maintain their superior image.

The incident was not more shocking than what happened in Mumbai in recent past when such hatred attacks were made on north Indians for several days.Those attacks also cannot be termed as aberration.It was a shameful act of regionalism and hatred among Indian brothers in the pretext of the migrants over populating the city causing problems for the locals in getting employment.If someone is not getting proper employment in their own native land its their right to move to other cities within their country to get a job so that they can support their family back home.Its not the people who are to be blamed for migrating to bigger cities,its the concerned state government which is not performing well, it has failed to create sufficient employment for the general public in their respective states which is leading to higher rate of migration to other cities where people hope to get work.

The time has come for people to realise the fact that such intolerance for others is not going to make things any better for them or for others worldwide.People need to be more considerate and tolerant towards each other and work together as a team, as a family, as a society, as a nation, to make this world a big family.Instead of blaming others we should look into ourselves and kill the virus of hatred.

Women are being exploited, abused mentally and physically everywhere and that includes nuns too.It was shocking to know the fact that how these noble women are being used as commodities behind closed doors of convents in kerela, south India. Several such cases of abuse of nuns in different convents in kerala came up recently in print.There are around 100000 nuns in 9000 convents across India, some seniors feel these are just stray cases and are bound to happen. These sinful acts are not confined to kerela only, its happening across the globe.

Nuns play an important role in society, they are playing significant role in emancipation of women but they themselves are facing problems to maintain their own dignity and respect.They are being used rampantly by senior priests physically, sometimes to satiate their carnal desires, sometimes to work like slaves.When someone raise their voices against the atrocities, they are punished even more.They hardly get any help from anyone as the priests are very powerful and well connected.Some are dumped after getting pregnant and are even forced to leave their job without any reason given to them. Some are even sent to mental asylum or even killed for trying to expose the stinking reality of the sacred place.Most of the nuns keep mum about the torture they are going through as they are scared of the wrath of dirty priests and continue to be their submissive slaves doing menial jobs and getting exploited sexually as and when the priests want to.

Though many of the nuns have been resorting to committing suicides when they are unable to take the pain anymore, some are gathering the much needed courage to stand up against the evil and fight back.Ex-sister Jesme’s autobiography, Amen, reveals the sexual exploitation of the vulnerable women in the possession of the catholic church as slaves, who are called 'nuns'.

Krishh..the super monkey of india

The film is about the hero 'Krishh' falling in love with a girl (Priyanka) who comes all the way from Singapore to his small town. The girl leaves after few days of songs with him and he becomes restless to meet her.As expected, he travels to Singapore to get his love.The drama unfolds there,he comes to know about his father who is still alive and is in captivity of the villain (Naseer).After showcasing a lot of stunts proudly, he succeeds in rescuing his father and return back home to his grandma (Rekha) with the girl (Priyanka) in his arms.

The first super hero of India who doesn't fly in India at all.The director took him to Singapore to showcase his heroic abilities.Once again it proves how Indians are crazy for everything foreign.May be like all Indian film makers he also was trying to prove that he is also capable of making films which are at par with Hollywood at least technically if not in quality of content. Most of the stunts were lifted from Hollywood films. The scene where Hrithik dangling from a tree, kisses Priyanka on her facial cheek was lifted from Spiderman. The stunts designed looked amateurish and were too much just for the sake of being a super hero rather than required because the character of the super hero is not well structured.He was performing almost all kinds of stunts.The super hero needs to have a particular style and specific way to combat according to their character developed.Krishh looked more like a model on a ramp show rather than a super hero, he lacked any distinct style of his own, whatever he did as a super power being was just a cheap copy of what other very well designed super heroes of Hollywood have been doing for ages.

I would call it a Super Monkey of India.

Amir Khan starrer 'Ghajini', a remake of south Indian movie by the same title made in 2005, the story of which was scooped from a 2000 released Hollywood movie 'Memento', which was written and directed by Christopher Nolan.Memento was based on Christopher's brother Jonathan Nolan's short story named 'Memento Mori'.

The plot revolves around a man who is suffering from short term memory loss hunting for the man who killed his girlfriend and is responsible for his current state of mind.

Amir Khan plays a corporate honcho who falls in love with a girl (Asin) who works in an Advertising agency.Things were going like a dream for both of them until one night when Amir goes to meet her at her place.Asin is killed in front of his eyes by Ghajini (Pradeep Rawat).Amir himself is badly injured by Ghajini who then hits Asin with an iron rod which ends her life and Amir becomes a patient of short term memory loss due to the injury on his head.

Technically speaking,the film looks very slick and stylish in terms of production value.The camera work is excellent and helps to generate the mood of the film. Background score is very dramatic and engaging for the audience.The songs which were not required were average.As far as script is concerned, i found couple of things very absurd and amusing.Firstly, The bad guys hardly used any guns and in climax the guns were not visible in any of hands.And i heard that Amir himself have made changes to the climax of the film,so much is written about his being a perfectionist,it was disappointing to see no one was using any guns in climax in today's time when even a kid can manage a gun very easily.The villain and his gang used guns in a scene where Amir is attacked in a car park.May be all of them forgot or may be they wanted to use Amir Khan's newly attained six or eight packs (i did not count) and bulging muscle to do the job instead of using guns.Amir Khan must have worked very hard to achieve that kind of physique so he had to showcase it to the fullest, so what if it was illogical not to give any guns to the bad guys to tackle roaring Amir.I thought may be that is called cinematic liberty, an excuse filmmakers use to cover up their flaws and weakness or inability to develop logical situations.Secondly, the female constable calling the girl(Asin) who rescued few girls who were being taken to Goa to be sold, to inform her that one girl was missing from the hospital and then again calling her to inform that her life was in danger as she heard the villain planning to kill her.It made me laugh on the stupidity of the director choosing to use such stupid way to carry his story forward.

Amir building his body to kill seemed ridiculous,there was not much of intensity in his performance.It was all shallow howls and roars and flexing his muscles.The villain in question was not some professional himself for which one needed to build a body to kill him. He was just a goon with a bunch of rowdies and that too without any guns.The whole idea of body building and having a new look was just a cinematic gimmick rather than a requirement for the character which was played by Amir khan in the film,which worked for the producers to create a buzz and hype among the cine goers,the hair style went on to become national craze among youngsters.Amir Khan is not at all suitable for this kind of character.He looked more suitable in 'Sarfarosh' in which he played a top ranking cop.He suited the character despite his short structure because he was not made to fight much in the film, it was more of planning and strategy to reach the culprits in the film.

Voting season has taken the whole country by storm. Wherever i go there is only one talk or debate which centres around the ongoing elections to choose a government at the centre.almost every television channel is asking people to come out and vote, a campaign which was started by jaagore.com.

Despite the recent terror attacks in mumbai, the turn out of voters was very disappointing for everyone including the politicians who expected a huge turn out going by the post attacks protests and candle marches on the streets of mumbai.It looked like a revolution of sorts to see so many people coming out on the streets, specially in mumbai, protesting the dastardly attacks.It made the central government wake up and assure the public that justice will be done and guilty will be brought to book.The concerned ministry roared in tandem with the public anger on television channels assuring immediate and stern action towards the culprits and the country responsible for the gory acts.the whole country was waiting holding their breath and patience and expecting a result oriented action from the government.But the roars became squeaks with the passage of time as usual.The evidences were sent to the responsible country which they kept dismissing or claiming that the same were not enough and kept wasting the time in the name of insufficient evidence.The game is still being played by the two countries reaching nowhere close to a comprehensive decision.The international community is also nowhere in the picture when it came to pressurising the responsible country to cooperate in punishing the responsible people.The media also gave up following the story in the wave of elections and for the past few weeks there is no news about the development of the case except that of the trial being held of the only alive captured man named kasab who was among the group of people who took mumbai hostage for few days.

Some experts felt mumbai did not come out to vote because it was school holiday time, some thought it was due to temperature, some thought they were fed up and lost hope in the participating political parties contesting the elections.They and the everyone in india is sick and tired of rhetoric of politicians, fed up of all talk no work policy.The election campaigns made it worse, it was appalling to see how these people fought with each other to gain mileage in the eyes of people.They have created a confusion beyond repair by changing their supposed support to certain group every now and then.I am completely lost in this entire circus of elections.whom to vote,why to vote. All the talk of 'change india' , 'power of vote' seems too idealistic in the face of reality.

I wish there was one more option to vote, 'none of the above' , then i would have certainly voted.

Dance Salman Dance

Yesterday evening i was watching this dance show on ZEE TV called 'Dance India Dance'.One of the contestants named Salman was among the low voted ones which was quite surprising going by his past performances.Everyone including the judges and the head judge Mithun Chakraborty expressed their shock over this issue of seeing a talented Salman among those who were voted low compared to others which meant that he was facing elimination from the contest.But eventually he was safe and gave a good performance choreographed by his master Remo,which was has an element of patriotism as it was based on Oscar winner A.R Rahman's magnificent patriotic song about India.During the performance he faced some problems when the stick of the flag broke and he struggled to keep it high and at the end when he climbed up the stairs to finish his act.

As usual he was praised for his efforts as he is a talented artist.One thing which prompted me to think was his speech after the act.He looked quite worried and asked for forgiveness twice to the people in general, forgiveness for if he has unknowingly hurt anyone while he was struggling to hold the flag right and with respect.He was pleading that he has utmost respect for the national flag and if there has been any mistake he was sincerely sorry for that.I wonder what made him think that, what made him beg for forgiveness.He did not do anything wrong at all.He is a citizen of India and why should anyone doubt him and that too for nothing.Its disappointing to see how the wave of terrorism has affected young people like Salman who happens to belong to a certain faith or community in which certain group of radicals are bringing bad name to the community worldwide.The impact is wide and deep in people's mind.He looked scared, he looked worried, he looked as if he was asked for an explanation and he tried his best with utmost sincerity to clarify that he did not meant to hurt anyone.

It was more shocking than him being in the low voted contestants.Its painful to see how young innocent people are feeling due to stupid and senseless acts of few others(terrorists).The intensity of impact was visible on Salman's face when he was asking for forgiveness.They feel they are being watched for their every actions, they feel they need to be careful with what they do or say, they seem suppressed, they seem to have lost their sense of freedom in their own country.

Understanding their situation i would like to tell Salman and others who are worried and scared in their own country for reasons for which they are not responsible that please do not feel that way.There was no need to explain brother.This is country is your home and you don't need to explain to anyone for nothing.It was embarrassing to hear you giving explanation over a performance for which you were not responsible at all.Nobody is going to judge you on the basis of your assigned faith.Just focus on your work and i wish you all the luck...you are simply a great dancer, god bless you... express yourself with confidence...no need to feel scared....dance Salman dance.

Few weeks back,the Indian media was splashed with a coverage of a rattling piece of revelation about a girl in Mumbai who alleged that she was sexually abused by her father for the last few years.What was more rattling was the fact that her mother was helping him in his act of sin all these years.Several other cases came up in the media after that shocking news.

NRI man from north India raped his daughter when he came home drunk.He lost his senses and ruined his daughter's life for ever.

A boy who was sexually abused by his father whenever he felt like, is angry and sad.He is unable to lead normal life, he is unable to enter into a normal relationship and is contemplating on shifting away from home.

A boy whose mother dragged him into physical relationship,he continues to be with her and let her use him silently.She was herself abused by her uncle when she was a child.He is unable to lead his own life and is scared to have a girlfriend because his mother gets angry on him when he tries to.

Its not anything new as we all know things like these have been happening behind closed doors across the globe for centuries and will continue to happen.Several others (victims)came out and voiced their pain of being used by someone whom they trusted.These horrifying acts are ruining people's lives in some way or the other.

It was a common perception that only men are into such acts but women are equally involved in such sick acts when they are in a position to do so.A recent case of a woman of Indian origin came up in USA who molested her students.There are innumerable cases of these kinds everywhere.

The business of counsellors is growing as the families are becoming small.The kids have no one to share their problems and surrender silently to the offender. Several groups are there as a much needed support to the victims.TULIR (bangalore based) and ELAAN (kolkata based) are among them.

That's what my mother said while watching a daily soap on television one evening few days back.The daily soap titled 'betiyaan' running successfully on India's one of the leading satellite channel ZEE TV.Watching these type of serials is my mother's favorite time pass like many other women in India who stays at home.she watches several serials regularly and 'betiyaan' is one of them.Sometimes i also happen to watch them passively with my mother when i don't have anything better to do and to update myself about the quality and content of television programs being aired.

So that evening my mother was watching the new episode of betiyaan expectantly to be entertained on the loud drama and music.In that episode a tussle was on between the betiyaan and a stupidly developed munnabhai like goon who has taken over their factory on his muscle power,their only source of survival.The betiyaan are helpless as they don't have anywhere to go for help,the police as expected are puppets of the goon.The over smart goon lays down a funny proposal to them,a cricket match between his team and the betiyaan.if they manage to defeat his team he will give back the factory to them.So the betiyaan somehow manage to train themselves a bit and the match starts.my mother was completely lost in the melodrama and was i surfing the net on my laptop beside her.suddenly she yelled ' are we stupid' !!.I looked up to her and then at the television screen asking what happened.She looked at me and said 'just look at what they are showing...they think we are fools...those idiots are playing with a rubber ball and see how they are padded'.I looked and found the players who were batting were full with pads,gloves and other gears which a professional player uses,i couldn't stop laughing at the stupidity of the makers of the serial.I said ' well mom...you should appreciate the effort of the makers on how well they are working on details of situation...'.

She was furious and switched the channel.I was wondering how come the producers and creative team take audience for granted and show anything crap the way they want to and expect people to accept this senseless circus.I wish i could raise my voice and object to this practise of subjecting viewers to shows like this and make money out of it.I could sense how insulted my mother felt about being taken for granted,these people are shamelessly manufacturing and subjecting viewers to this mindless crap.
