According to science, drinking 2-4 cups of tea or coffee a day does not harm and should never be drunk on an empty stomach.
According to Ayurveda, tea and coffee are both dry in nature and heat-enhancing substances in the body. Which can cause gas and acidity. Regular unchecked use of these drinks can worsen digestion, cause hair loss, and greying of hair.
There is a better alternative to tea and coffee in Ayurveda called Arjun Tea. This tea is alkaline in nature and maintains blood sugar levels and acts as a tonic for the heart. It has no side effects. It reduces fat. You can drink it without milk or by adding milk like regular tea. Jaggery powder or honey can be added instead of sugar.
